Details of the Optional Foreign Language Preparatory Program Placement Exam, which will be held for students who indicate that they want to enroll in the Optional Foreign Language Preparatory Program while registering through the e-government system, will be announced on the School of Foreign Languages website. Compulsory Foreign Language 1 and 2 courses exemption exam (English) for all newly registered students of our university for 2023-2024 will be held face-to-face on October 11, 2023, at 14.00 in all schools in the center and districts, and in the second education in all schools in the center and districts. It has been decided that the teaching will be held at 16.00, and that students who score 60 or above out of 100 for the Fall and Spring Semesters as a result of two separate test evaluations will be exempt from this course and their success grades will be recorded on their transcripts as the "Compulsory Foreign Language" course. Compulsory Foreign Language 1 Details of the exemption exam for and 2 courses will be announced on the School of Foreign Languages website (http://ydyo.comu.edu.tr).

Details about the Graduate Education Institute Foreign Language Exam held at the end of the Fall and Spring Semesters will be announced on the School of Foreign Languages website (http://ydyo.comu.edu.tr).

Students who registered to our university at the beginning of the 2023-2024 Academic Year, who registered at previous dates and who suspended their registration without taking any courses, must fill out the application form they will obtain from their departments and submit it to the head of the department in which they are registered, in order to be exempt from the Compulsory Foreign Language course in the 2023-2024 Fall and Spring semesters. It is mandatory.

In the Fall Semester: Since January 1, 2024 is a New Year's holiday, classes will not be held on the following Saturday or Sunday.

In the Spring Semester: 23 April 2024 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, 01 May 2024 Labor and Solidarity Day are holidays, so classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays,

In the Fall and Spring Semesters: YÖK allows classes to be held on a Saturday every two semesters in order to complete the compulsory courses in 60 hours.
